Agricultural Gypsum (Calcium Sulfate - CaSO4) is one of those rare materials that performs in all three categories of soil treatment: an amendment, conditioner, and fertilizer. Gypsum is a high quality source of calcium and sulfur that improves soils under a variety of conditions.
The many advantages of using gypsum can be found HERE.
We have two types of gypsum available - powdered (Diamond K) and granulated (Microna)
DIAMOND K - Soluble Powder. Premium 97% is the purest, most soluble mined solution grade gypsum available. Improves soil structure, improves crop quality, and yields more effectively than bulk gypsum.
Guaranteed Analysis
Calcium (CA): 22%
Sulfur (S): 18%
Gypsum (CaSO42H2O): 97%
SUGGESTED APPLICATION
Use as directed by soil analysis.
- Use at lower rates (50-400 lb/acre) than non-soluble gypsum, but more frequently
- For foliar rates use 1-10 lb/acre
- Can be used for fertigation
MICRONA PRILL - Granular. Adds essential calcium and sulfur nutrients with low dust for easy blending and precision application at reduced rates. Helps leach out harmful salts and improves soil structure. Easy to apply anytime, anywhere without specialized equipment. The micronized dihydrate form will dissolve into solution rapidly.
Guaranteed Analysis
Calcium (CA): 21%
Sulfur (S): 17%
Calcium Sulfate Dihydrate (CaSO42H2O): 92%
SUGGESTED APPLICATION
Use as directed by soil analysis.
- Can be applied easily any time of the year. The consistent size of the round prill allows for convenient blending and even coverage.
- Apply directly to the soil or into the seed furrow.
- Accurate in variable rate applications.
- While it is best to spread, then water well afterwards; only small amounts of moisture are necessary to activate the product. Follow soil test recommendations for optimum performance.
